Proof Communication picked up an award from the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) on Saturday 12th July. The award, for the best article in the IED’s Engineering Design journal, was presented by the IED’s honorary president Maggie Philbin to Natasha Warren, the article’s author, during a ceremony at MOSI in Manchester.

The award was for an article written by Proof on behalf of its client STEMNET, which explored how the UK can inspire the engineers of the future.

The IED was established in 1945, and Incorporated by Royal Charter in 2012. It is the only UK organisation representing those working in the many fields of engineering and product design.

Joe Meaney, Director at Proof, said: “The work we do aims to communicate often complex information in science, technology and engineering to specific audiences. This can be very detailed research, intricate new technology and groundbreaking new ideas so is often quite difficult to articulate in a clear and engaging way. We are always delighted to have our work appreciated, and even more so when we are publicly acknowledged in this way, and by such a respected national institution as the IED.”
