A Proof event on 18th March 2015 – Communicating research with real-world applications

by AprilSix Proof

Throughout 2015, Proof will be hosting events for communications professionals that work at science, engineering and technology organisations. These events aim to offer the opportunity for experts to have an open and honest discussion on topics that matter to them.

Our second event is titled ‘Real world research: Telling the right story’ and is a breakfast roundtable at which science communications professionals will explore how to successfully communicate research with real-world applications.

At this event, we will:

-> Discuss the challenges of identifying the right stories and the realities of liaising with multiple institutions, scientists and press officers to generate press coverage that matters with Jim Sutton, Director, Proof Communication

-> Share a successful case study on how a world-renowned research facility has extended the capability of their team, to ensure that they get the right publicity by Fiona Auty, Head of Communications, National Physical Laboratory

-> Have an open discussion under the Chatham House Rule sharing challenges and offering solutions

We are hosting the event at the Ham Yard Hotel, Firmdale’s latest addition to their exclusive individually designed hotels in Central London. The event begins at 9.30am with breakfast, discussion starting at 9.45am and ends at the convenient time of 10.45am so that attendees can jet off for their other meetings.

This event is free but spaces are limited. If you are interested in attending please get in contact with our Business Development Director, Jennifer Johnson. Her email is Jennifer@proofcomunication.com and phone number is (0)7944 792 859.
